Persphone sighed as she began to take her daily orders. Usually she didn't mind her job, heck, there were even days she loved being here. However, another person had just been killed and the atmosphere was a sad one in the diner. No one barely spoke and when they did, it was to a waiter or a waitress for something.
This needed to end. Almost every single day, there was a report on someone being killed. It was beginning to sound as normal as what the weather was going to be tomorrow. Were the police even bothering to look for this guy anymore? Or were they just waiting for him to fumble to catch him. They probably wouldn't catch him even if he did fumble. Gah, how could people be so stupid?!
Thoughts of her siblings death popped into her mind and she felt herself losing it again. No, not now. She was at work and she did not need to flip. No way was she going to be deemed a nut. It took her forever to convince them she wasn't and to let her out of Nancy Regal's. Relax and breath She thought, taking a deep breath, closing her eyes. After a moment, she reopened them and smiled slightly. She felt more relaxed and calm, for the most part.
"Hello, how may I help you?" She asked a customer she went up to, who barely smiled at her as he told her what he wanted. Thoughts ran through her mind about how maybe the man might of known the person, a habit she picked up after the incident. "Okie dokie! Be right back with that!" She smiled, doing her best to stay as chipper as she possibly could. No one liked a depressed waitress.
